Google Doesn’t Publish PageRank, So What can We Do?

You should use the ‘nofollow’ rule when linking to untrusted sources or in sponsored posts (Google doesn’t like paid links). Cornerstone content (in short: assigning one main page per content and linking that from related pages) shows how internal linkscontribute to your site structure. Google now supports using the rel=“canonical” link element across different domains. This means that you can have similar content on both the .com and .co.uk extensions of your site, and use the canonical link element to indicate the exact URL of the domain preferred for indexing. This will make duplicate content a non-issue. Also, keep in mind that this is not required when using different languages. Google does not consider foreign-language translations to be duplicate content. But it is something to consider for multiple locale sites in the same language. Repeatedly building over-optimized, spammy backlinksovertime will lead to a penalty. Keyword-based titles help establish page theme and direction for your keywords.

No Multiple Pages with the Same Keyword

Realize that meta keywords are only used by your competitor to see what you want to rank for. Google still doesn’t use them. It’s important to have breadcrumbs on your website. They show users how a page fits into the structure of a site, and allow search engines to determine the site’s structure. Long-form content is a magnet for long tail searches. The more searchers and visitors you attract, the more you can ‘satisfy’ and the better chance you can rank higher in the long run. It's not actually that difficult to get on page 1 of Google in a search (but that depends on the search!) You need to know your market and you need to have a good understanding of SEO and how to use keywords. You also need some time, I'm not selling magic online marketing wands - if you know someone who is, please hook me up! Recognizing intent will allow you to improve keyword selection decisions and better serve your target audience.

You have to think about optimizing your existing pages better

Prioritise content marketing. That's publishing valuable content on your website. These can be articles, blogs, white papers, videos, infographics or other interesting information that can be shared with your network via an e-newsletter or social media. Doing this will create backlinks naturally. If you link to other websites, you not only help to promote their content, but also you let others know that you exist. Simple as that. And if you provide quality content, people whose work you’ve shared will be more willing to promote your website as well. The new SEO paradigm is defined by creating good content and site architecture, along with messaging, branding, and communication with the audience. So, how does Google determine site quality? Link Building is an indisputable part of the Search Engine Optimization process. Connecting a website to the rest of the Internet without links isn’t impossible, considering the fact there are many different content creation companies willing to do the work for you. However, the costs for this kind of work can ramp up quickly, making Link Building through a third party too costly for most new websites. Learning search engine optimization can be overwhelming at first. There is a lot to wrap your mind around. But becoming proficient in SEO is definitely an achievable undertaking.

Encourage Comments on Your Site

Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant from SEO Hull, commented: "If you maintain a blog, of course you want the traffic to your blog to grow. But what if it doesn’t? What if the traffic to your blog is (slightly) decreasing? What do you do?" Do your maths - its one of the primary resources for this sort of thing. Its as simple as KS2 Maths. Really! Google can, and does, ignore low relevance links. The worst offenders are generic links (“click here”) and even worse, off-topic links. When it comes to SEO, oftentimes a website owner thinks that their competitors are some of the largest brands in their industry, but that's not always the case. Technology is an important part of the user experience equation. In addition to providing audiences with helpful and informative content, you’ll want to make sure that your website is easy and enjoyable to browse. Make sure to optimize your website to be mobile friendly and to ensure that it has a quick load time. You can use off-page optimization to improve your website’s reputation and authority. This depends mainly on inbound links. Off-page optimization involves measures which ensure that good-quality, relevant backlinks are created in the long term. This is also referred to as “link building.”

Follow Users with Large Followers Groups

Make sure your backlinks appear to be natural. Don’t ask webmasters to link back to your pages with a specific anchor text since this can haphazardly result in a pattern that may get noticed by search engines and cause you to get a linking penalty. Search engines won't notice changes to your site instantaneously. Google and Bing offer search tools to help you manage your site's search presence. If an SEO tactic worked for one website that does not mean the same can be successfully applied to another. We thirst for conversation ratherthan being lectured. Those who merely push their message and never listen or engage usually are not as successful. So when someone comments on your blog or on your social media post, engage with them. You never know who has a website or blog. You never know who will build upon your knowledge and create their own post referencing your original post as a citation! There are many niche communities specialized in different topics, such as films, gaming, programming, marketing, etc. These communities don’t just bring people with common interests together, but also let members submit the latest, coolest content.

Google Doesn’t Publish PageRank, So What can We Do?

You already know that a considerable amount of Internet traffic these days comes from mobile operating systems. Community hijacking involves finding online communities that are made up of your target market, or people that can reach your target market so that you can build a relationship with them and get them to promote your content/brand/product(s). Search engines have been tailored to predict the intent of customers, which explains why some searches have features such as local 3-packs, featured images or videos and Quick Answers. Understanding the intent behind searches allows marketers to create content messages and formats that will most likely appeal to customers. The key to a successful list post is no more complicated than including a large number of quality items. Think of SEO as one small part of a much more cohesive marketing strategy.
